D-Prave


With a fierce determination, Game Day's first label member, D-Prave - a 22 yr old Steel City native, is ready to stake a solid claim as one of hip-hop's elite lyricists. He is the fresh new sound and style of today's Canadian hip-hop. Blessed with a creative passion only a chosen few display, the rapper has a gift so powerfully instinctive that it is as normal to him as the air he breathes. He emits this gift through his being and becomes it. This is the intensity for which he reveres his emotion for life; the people around him and of course his music.


'Prave grew up in war-torn Peja City, Kosovo during the KLA uprising and ultimately fled with his family in fear for their lives first finding refuge in Germany. In 1998, his family immigrated to Canada, first to Scarborough, Toronto for a year, then finally settling in Hamilton in '99. It's in those two cities, where the word play wizard honed his craft gaining a small, local underground following as he handed out mix tape after mix tape to anyone and everyone who wanted them.


As with any youth trying to make sense of this world, 'Prave wasn't without his problems. Attending school at Sir John A. McDonald, the emcee was involved in a brawl with the school football team which resulted in him getting expelled from school.


But just when things seemed they were going to take a turn for the worse, one of his MP3's managed to reach Game Day Records' inbox, which was in the process of getting its team together to create a record label and which upon hearing 'Prave immediately got in touch with the rhymer and put him in the studio. His highly anticipated debut album drops December 20th and what is expected is an album laced with smooth witty flows on the club bangers with hard hitting precise verbal assaults aimed at those who have betrayed him. Few can match the lyricist when it comes time to unleash the fire because in this world...it's Game Day everyday.
