Game Day Signs Chux!



Game Day Records & Management is pleased to announce the addition of their newest music artist in Chux. Chux will not only be coming to Game Day R&M as a recording artist and producer but also will be involved in the day to day operations of the label.


"This is a very exciting announcement for us", said Game Day's founder Kirk Alfaro. "It's a great situation for us to be in, in that not only are we adding another talented artist to our roster but also a person who will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of the business as well. Chux is definitely another piece of that puzzle we feel will help take this label to the next level."


After arriving to Hamilton, Canada from Lagos, Nigeria in the summer of 2004, then Toronto in 2005,Chux, who cites Lupe Fiasco, Camron, Preemo as influences, quickly immersed himself in the underground music scene. Since then he's dropped 2 mixtapes and 3 albums including his latest mix tape project entitled "Jackin' the Industry" which went public in the Fall of 2008. It was this release and its production that caught the ear of Game Day R&M which quickly came calling soon after.


"I want to bring some artistic integrity to the table," said the emcee/producer/entrepreneur on his new job. "I want to make universally accepted music and create original artist brands. I want to help build Game Day into the most diverse, respected record label out there with artists on the roster ranging from hip-hop to rock to pop. And that's something that attracted me to Game Day. As well as the fact they maintain close relationships with the artists on their roster and their drive and desire to be the best in the industry. That all played a strong role in my decision to sign with them."
